The crossbred and conflicting disciplines of producing art and producing money have been a thorn in the side of the fine artist and the notion of "artistic integrity" since art started to be thought of in terms of being a commodity. Whether it be producing paintings, sculptures, archhitecture et. al., the underlying motives have often come into question.
One artistic discipline where the two are the most inextricably bound is architecture, where the pragmatic ends can never be achieved without first thinking in terms of financial backing. This painting focuses on that domain foremost but also in sculpture, and by the very means of execution in the medium used... painting.
